Brownfield appoints Vasquez Water Superintendent after vote
Brownfield City Council approves bids for a substation transformer and for city liability insurance. Paul Vasquez is named Water and Wastewater Superintendent by a 5-1 vote, replacing Joe Cardenas who retired. Alderman Garza opposed noting others were passed over. City Manager Eldon Jobe praised Vasquez’s 22 years with the department and his certifications. The low bid for a remanufactured substation transformer from Sesco, San Angelo, was accepted at 64,744 dollars.
