Beck and Eicke Named Gold Star 4-H'ers

Pam Beck and Dale Eicke received the Gold Star Award from Judge Raymond Simms at the Terry County 4-H Awards Banquet in Oak Grove cafeteria. Rene Nelson and Dell Knight earned the I Dare You award, while Carla Willis, Pam Beck and others received leadership citizenship and various dairy foods, food preservation and livestock honors. The event featured a keynote by Mrs. Elbert Floyd and honored county volunteers.

Terry Grand Jury Indicts Nine in Terry County

Terry County Grand Jury convened Monday in district court with District Judge M. C. Ledbetter presiding. Nine indictments were handed down, three per person. Accused include Clyde Bean for theft over fifty dollars and concealing stolen goods, John L. Lee for defrauding with worthless checks and theft by false pretext, Willie Garesia for theft by false pretext, Charles Lee McCraw for three counts of burglary, Labon Bean for assault with intent to murder, Royce G. Cody for worthless checks, and Eloy Barnhart for burglary.

4-H Gold Star Awards Presented at Terry County Banquet

Judge Raymond Simms awarded Gold Star honors to Pam Beck daughter of Milton and Mrs Beck and to Dale Eicke son of Lemmon and Mrs Eicke at the Terry County 4-H Awards banquet held Saturday night in the Oak Grove cafeteria. Beck has eight years and Eicke nine years of 4-H participation.

UF Drive Extends Campaign As One-Third Mark Reached

Terry County United Fund directors and workers report $10,716.60 raised, one third of the goal, with Brownfield, Wellman, employee and church divisions over 50 percent. The drive, originally to end November 22, is extended to November 29. report meetings are set for November 21 and 28.
