Voters Go To Polls In Terry County General Election
Absentee ballots totaled 341 before 5 p.m. Friday with 65 by mail and the rest in person. County Clerk Frank Gray said 122 ballots were mailed and could raise total absentee votes to 398, surpassing 1968’s 345. County regis tered voters number 6,287 as polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in city and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. outside. Ballots feature four parties with presidential, senatorial and state races, including McGovern, Nixon, Tower, Briscoe, Hill and others.
