Brownfield hosts a volleyball camp for grades 1 through 9 from May 29 to June 2, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with lunch 12 to 1 p.m. Camp cost is 15 dollars and includes a t shirt. Sign up at the door. contact Jo Willis at Brownfield High School for details.
The Brownfield Boys Basketball Summer Camp runs June 5 to 9 for grades 3 through 9. It costs 40 dollars per participant with daily sessions from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is available at The Water Hole or Brownfield High School, with Coach Matthew Neighbors as the contact.
The Camp of Champs basketball camp runs June 12 to 16 for girls rising from grades 3 through 8. Sessions run 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a $45 fee that includes a T shirt and basketball. Coach Chris Edwards leads the camp with family discounts for multiple enrollments.
First annual HOOPS 3-on-3 basketball tournament on July 12 at Brownfield High School lot. Entry by June 19, ages 8 plus, teams of 3-4, double-elimination brackets, half-court play, HOOPS rules, prizes for first place, $80 name fund per entry, $20 off for using portable goal. TXU Electric announces an application filed March 31 2000 with the Public Utility Commission of Texas seeking approval of proposed tariffs to take effect January 1 2002 for transmission and distribution utilities. The filing includes stranded costs a business separation plan and a new CCN number. The proceeding aims to set nonbypassable delivery charges for retailers and customers with most existing rates remaining unchanged until 2002.
