Terry County officials and WTCC board members began drafting a lease for the West Texas Children’s Centre shelter on Bynum Lane. The facility, funded by general revenue bonds with a 15 year debt plan, aims to serve 48 abused and abandoned youths once licenses for group therapy and residential treatment are obtained.

Brownfield Consolidated Independent School District trustees Gerald Caswell and Kyle King were sworn in to fill at large seats after winning May 3.
