Brownfield High honors 1986 87 Rainbow of Sports banquet
The Brownfield High athletic year closed with the Rainbow of Sports banquet at Cub Gym drawing 600 plus attendees. Miss Cub Christine Flores and Mr. Cub Heath McVay led the honorees with Flores recognized for three varsity sports and McVay for football and baseball. Other top athletes earned awards across football and other sports as coaches and athletes were introduced.

Grand Jury indicts 12 defendants in Terry County case
