Teen Court concept prep in Terry County this fall
Terry County will introduce Teen Court to students with class presentations at Brownfield Middle School this Thursday and at Brownfield High School on May 14. The program, already used in Odessa and other Texas cities, uses a peer jury for Class C offenses with an adult judge and trained student staff.

Family argument leads to attempted murder arrest
Chief J T Churchwell described a family dispute that escalated to an attempted murder case. James C Boen, 23, of Brownfield was arrested on a warrant after police say he attacked his stepmother Treva Boen, 55, who survived serious skull fractures and was flown to Methodist Hospital in Lubbock for surgery. Bail was set at 30000.
