James Daniels produced and presented the production. he is a professional actor with teaching credits at University of Texas at Austin and Case Western Reserve University. Cost is $2.
Brownfield recorded .74 inches of rain in April, below the 1.08 inch norm, with 1986's first four months at 1.32 inches versus 3.01 inches normally through April. Most moisture arrived April 19 20, temps reached 90 degrees on April 1 and 80s on 16 days, with 36 degree low on April 4. Local officials warn rainfall shortfall strains wheat and may threaten future cotton planting if rain remains scarce.

Brownfield City Council Terry County Commissioners Court and Terry Memorial Hospital Board of Directors convene at 7 p.m. Monday in Brownfield City Hall to decide the fate of the ambulance garage behind the police station. built in 1984 the facility now shelters police vehicles and equipment. The hospital district and county seek reimbursement from the city for building costs after transferring ambulance service to AID Ambulance in April.
Local residents mostly said they do not know enough about the Chernobyl accident to judge nuclear safety. Five individuals offered comments with varied takes, including a retired military man who sees nuclear energy as the future and a sentiment that the disaster could affect commodity markets while sparking safety concerns.
