Martinez joins Delayed Entry Program in Army
Jerry Martinez enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program at the U S Army Recruiting Station in Lubbock Texas delaying active duty up to one year. The program offers skill training travel and up to 40000 for college. After basic training he will attend advanced training at his career specialty and report to Fort Sill Lawton Oklahoma on July 7 1998. He is student at Brownfield High School and son of Jose Martinez III of Corpus Christi and Olga Martinez of Brownfield.
