Wellman Principal Receives NSF Grant for Summer Study

Two 16 Year Olds Arrested For Auto Parts Theft
Two 16 year old youths were arrested by city police on theft charges for taking car parts and accessories from Glen's Garage and Wrecking Yard at 927 South Eighth. All stolen items were recovered. They were released pending a juvenile court appearance Tuesday. A separate theft of about $3 from a soap dispenser and peanut machine at McNutt Laundry on Tohoka Road occurred Tuesday night.

Rites Are Saturday For Mrs. Burnett Resident Since 1916
Funeral services were held at Northside Baptist Church for Mrs. F. M. Burnett 86 of Meadow and Terry County died Friday morning after a six week illness. The Rev. A J Franks officiated with Rev. Don Murray assisting. Burial was in Brownfield Cemetery. Survivors include daughter Mrs. Jack Longley of Meadow son Arnold Burnett of Brownfield two brothers Penn Blair San Antonio and Jack Blair Hico two sisters Mrs Charlie Morris and Mrs Inez Atkins of Hico 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
