Nursing Home Administrator Licensing Course Enrolment Grows
Barbara Verzwyvelt representing McDonnell Nursing Center attends the first segment of a 200 hour course for licensing as nursing home administrator. The five week seminar at Whitestone Inn Austin is sponsored by the Texas Nursing Home Association and the Texas Board of Licensure for Nursing Home Administrators. Over 60 enrollments. A 19 member faculty teaches under UT Austin supervision. Texas law requires the initial 200 hours and 30 biennial hours of ongoing study. The Texas Association is the second largest and highly rated nationwide.

Brownfield fed erated women clubs hosted the Caprock District Convention of the Texas Federated of Women's Clubs at the Hilton Inn in Lubbock.
