Judge Moore sentences subjects in 121st court
In 121st District Court Judge Kelly Moore handed down sentences to several defendants. William Ramirez, 28, got 24 months state jail for criminal non support with five years community supervision and fines totaling $248 court costs $250 attorney fees and $19,436.50 restitution. Brownfield High to stage Blithe Spirit on March 20
Brownfield High School will present Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit with two shows at 6 and 8 p.m. on Thursday March 20 in the Brownfield Middle School Auditorium. A chili supper fund raiser runs 5 to 5 45 p.m. and 6 45 to 7 45 p.m. The meal costs 4 dollars and the show is free. Theater director John Trischitti III encourages everyone to attend and support the students.

Brownfield Middle School Lady Cubs placed in multiple events at Thursday's Lubbock-Cooper meet. In 7th grade, Katy Richins high jumped to 3rd. Alex Cano took 3rd in long jump. 4th in 800 relay went to Byanca Gonzales, Ysenia Rodriguez, Julie Wollman, Amanda Rodriguez. 4th in sprint relay to Gonzales, Swoopes, Rodriguez, Wollman. In 8th grade, Ashley Limon earned 2nd in discus and shot put. Melissa Villegas ran 2400m to 2nd. sprint relay to Curiel, Alvarado, Flores, Kelly took 5th, with 6th place noted.
