Investment gamble pays off for City Brownfield
In 1990 Brownfield built the CRTC and an Intermediate Sanction Facility and leased them to the state. Refinancing in 1996 saved $262,068 in interest. Bonds for both projects were paid off August 15, 2002. City leaders pursued jobs and income as the facilities opened in 2002 with prisoners moved in early August.
