Harold Dalton Named Head of Stinnett Schools
Harold Dalton former Brownfield High School class of 1943 was named superintendent of Stinnett public schools. A Marine Corps veteran with 67 missions he earned three air medals and later earned degrees from West Texas State College and a master’s in administrative education. Dalton began as teacher and coach at Stinnett, then served ten years as principal before promotion. He and his wife Mary Hanna have a daughter Debbie.

Davis Resigns As Head Of Hospital
Charles T. Davis, administrator of Terry County Hospital, resigns effective within six weeks. He will take a similar role at Bever ly Hills Sanitarium in Dallas. Lawrence Renfro of 1310 North Atkins bowled 707 in a three game series on Wednesday night to become the second Brownfield bowler to break 700. He totaled 278, 172, and 257 as a lead into the 700 circle joining Weldon Morton who had 722 earlier in February. Renfro bowls for Jack Hamilton Tim's Safety Lane Brownfield Radiator and Garage. Once a third bowler hits 700 the American Bowling Congress will allow a 700 Club of America organization.
