Local seven board seats file deadline nears

Potential candidates must file by March 19 at schools city halls or Brown field Regional Medical Center. Brownfield at large seats held by Ricky Willis and Roy Edwards and seats four and five held by Harry Stice and Nancy Wade are open. Willis and Stice cannot run again after two terms. Edwards has filed for district four.

Brownfield Seeks Peanut Shelling Facility Boost in West Texas

Brownfield and Terry County explore peanuts as a growth engine with BIDCorp backing. Terry Ag Leaders eye cloud seeding program

About 25 members of the Terry Ag Leadership group met at the Terry County Extension Office to discuss rainfall shortages and the potential of cloud seeding. George Bomer of the Texas Natural Resources Conservation Commission outlined cloud seeding as a long term water management strategy, not a quick fix, highlighting convective clouds and potential drought benefits while noting results from seeded storms.
