Thefts And Vandalism Under Investigation
Brownfield and Terry County law enforcement report ongoing thefts and vandalism. Items stolen include two air conditioners valued at 175 each from Willie Helm’s warehouse on South Cedar. Missing include a 25 gallon butane bottle an oxygen bottle five chain tongs a torch and seven cutting tips. Police also report two bicycle thefts resolved and a battery theft from a county maintainer. Vandalism includes sand in an irrigation engine broken windows at Brownfield High School and a broken 12 by 14 inch window at Bowman Oldsmobile Cadillac Pontiac. An arrest has been made on a Hockley County warrant for theft and a school attendance charge. Police report two drunken arrests and a minor traffic mishap near Island Hill with a damaged 1964 Ford.

Brownfield Council Approves Reduced Rate For Large Electricity Users
