Beardens celebrate 55 years of marriage and weddings in Lubbock area
Beardens Ray and Joyce Bearden of Tokio marked their 55th wedding anniversary on June 26 with a trip to Mexico. They wed June 26, 1949 at Plains Baptist Church. The couple has a daughter Rhonda Dion and a son Rickey Bearden, three grandsons and three granddaughters. They remain active members of Plains Baptist Church and have long served in Sunday School. Elizabeth Elaine Lary and Justin Craig Weir announce their engagement and plan to wed July 10 at Sunset Church of Christ. Elizabeth is the daughter of Leon and Janice Lary of Lubbock. Justin is the son of Raymond and Sherri Weir of Lubbock. Elizabeth graduated from Monterey High School and attended South Plains College. Justin graduated from Coronado High School and attended Lubbock Christian University and is employed at University Medical Center. The families include grandparents Rosetta Lary DePoyster of Brownfield and Wesley Stults of Jal, New Mexico. The wedding will take place at Sunset Church of Christ with details provided by Mr. and Mrs. Lary and Mr. and Mrs. Bearden.
