BCISD trustees wrap three hour session on TAAS report
Brownfield ISD held a lengthy Monday night meeting covering the 1998 TAAS and Gifted and Talented reports, staffing changes, and a preliminary budget for 1998-99. Interim Business Manager Bob Painter reviewed year end finances, noting a $2.294 million balance and $4.124 million in operating funds. Superintendent Charles Harrison was introduced, seven new employees were hired, and 13 resignations accepted. Elementary Coordinator Jeanette Awbrey reviewed TAAS results by race and-economically disadvantaged groups for grades 3-8 and high school sophomores.

County Commissioners set date to take bids
