Fire destroys church. swift aid from multiple departments
Brownfield firefighters battled a massive blaze that gutted a church over days, with crews off and on until midnight then returning Tuesday. State Fire Marshal and ATF investigators arrived to assess damage and start the inquiry while Chief Dawson praised mutual aid from Level land, Meadow, Wellman, Morton, Tahoka, and local agencies. Citizens donated water, food, and beverages as the community rallied around the church family.
