Jury duty penalties urged as court fights no-shows
District Judge Kelly Moore of Terry County warns residents to attend jury service or face fines. He recalls a medical malpractice case where 50 extra names were drawn to fill a jury, and explains the process from a $1 to $100 fine to potential jail if unpaid. Moore notes many no-shows lack updated voter and driver records, and stresses jurors enjoy the experience and value their service.
