Johnson Plans To Destroy Bindweed In Barrow Ditches

County Agent Jim Foy says the chemicals are approved and safe for use in these areas. Farmers wishing to participate are asked to contact Johnson as work begins immediately. Bindweed, also called possession vine, aggressively overtakes land and may lead to abandonment if not controlled. It climbs around any weed or crop and grows where there is no support.
