TXU Electric seeks tariff approvals and sale of costs
TXU Electric filed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas on March 31 2000 an application to approve proposed tariffs effective January 1 2002 for transmission and distribution utilities. It seeks approval of stranded costs and a business separation plan and a new CCN for its proposed transmission company with other relief. The proceeding aims to set nonbypassable delivery charges for retail customers and likely other nonbypassable fees. The filing notes anticipated competition opened by 1999 code amendments and outlines costs to be recovered after 2002, including nuclear decommissioning system benefit fees stranded costs restructuring and related surcharges. Questions may be directed to Chris Schein at TXU Electric or via the PUC. The deadline to intervene is July 10 2000.
