Country Caravan to visit Brownfield Saturday June 7

Muldrow awards presented at year ending breakfast
Brownfield School System closed the year with its annual end of year breakfast in the BISD Commons. Superintendent Don Hendley noted the year’s adversities including the TECAT exam and highlighted that the district still maintained high standards. Tony Garcia led the inning with a single, Bobby Lawrence stole second and third, and Martin Fonseca drove home the deciding run in the seventh. Garcia pitched strong for five innings before the late rally. The win lifts the Cubs to 21-6 and sets up a regional playoff against Graham’s winner.
