Kendrick Clem Named Leaders of Terry County United Fund
John J. Kendrick named president for the 1967 Terry County United Fund campaign with Clem Kendrick as first vice president. The 1967-68 board includes Curtis Scott and Marion Snell with representatives from Girls Town Volunteers of America and local women's groups. Kendrick has a history of leading campaigns since 1955 and helped reach a 1955 goal of 21 000. Clem moved from Seagraves to Brownfield in 1966 and previously chaired campaigns there.

Local Scout Heads to World Scout Jamboree in Idaho
Tommy Jones an Eagle Scout and Explorer Post No 743 president departs Monday for Farragut State Park Idaho to join the 12th World Boy Scout Jamboree. The 16 year old Brownfield High School junior is active in DeMolay First Presbyterian Church and sports and was chosen from a 21 county area with 72 regional participants.

Services Held For Orb Stice
Funeral services for Orb Stice 74 were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Christian Church with Rev. Jack Garrett officiating. Burial followed at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Brownfield Funeral Home directing. Stice, a World War I veteran, died at Brownfield General Hospital after a heart attack at home on July 14. He was a longtime bank teller and assistant cashier at the First National Bank until his retirement in 1951. Surviving are his wife two daughters three brothers and four sisters.

Howard Maddera of the Hockley County Community Action Program will speak to the Community Development Committee of the Terry County Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Flame Room of Pioneer Natural Gas building. He will discuss how Hockley County operates under the Community Action Program and answer questions on setting up a similar committee in Terry County.

Postmaster Howard Davis announces parcel post will be delivered six days a week again starting immediately after Congress allowed an eight and a half million dollar restoration.
