Field Day Set At Mason Farm

Narcotics Topic Highlights Brownfield Lions Club Meeting

Lieutenant Royce Couch and Captain Larry Beauchamp spoke on narcotics during the Brownfield Lions Club weekly meeting. Couch cited WWI and WWII addiction rates, described addict crimes, and urged law changes to curb trafficking. 42 members attended. Debra Szydosi named club Sweetheart for 1967-68.

Rotarians View Stamp History Film and Plans

Brownfield Rotary Club members heard a film on the development of a postage stamp shown by Howard Davis. He noted 25 billion stamps sold by the U S Post Office and only about 15 new ones printed each year. The meeting covered finances, an Inter-City Rotary Golf Tournament set for Oct 5 at Brownfield Country Club, with a $10 entry fee and invites to nearby clubs. Local Airmen Schedule Meet at Brownfield Club

The West Texas Airmen's Association will hold its regular monthly meeting at Brownfield Country Club at 8 p.m. Tuesday with a Dutch dinner.
