Boll weevil plan gains support in Western High Plains
Texas farmers in the Western High Plains Eradication Zone backed a plan to stop boll weevils pending state funding. Entomologist Phillip Kidd presented charts showing survival rates of weevils in Terry County Lubbock and Gaines counties across habitats. Rodriguez charged with Allsup's robbery
Eddie Rodriguez 18 of 1105 E Hill is charged with aggravated robbery for the January 23 holdup at Allsup's Convenience Store 708 Tohoka Road. Brownfield Police received the call at 12 21 a m. Rodriguez allegedly struck the clerk with a stick and demanded cash, taking less than 100 dollars. A warrant is issued for his arrest.

Terry County jury found Erasmo Munoz guilty after near ninety minutes of deliberation for selling 27.83 pounds of marijuana with intent to profit a crime. He faces sentencing February 16 at 2 p.m. in 121st District Court before Judge Kelly Moore.
