Brownfield Lions Host Ninth Tournament of Talent Event
The Brownfield Lions sponsor their largest annual event the Tournament of Talent, a two day program at Brownfield High School auditorium on February 23 and 24. It features four divisions including high school and out of school junior high elementary and a Negroes category. Audience judges determine first to third place in each division with entries limited to three minutes. Last year’s overall champions were Ninth TOT Shapes Up Fast Here . Stell Rites Held Here Saturday
Funeral services for A. L. Stell 70 of 711 East Sons were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Ed Crow and Rev. L A Doyle with Rev. T L Nipp of Snyder. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery in Midland under Brownfield Funeral Home. Stell was found dead Monday morning by a neighbor after a telephoned call from Lubbock.
