Sheriff submits 2006 annual activity report details Terry County stats
The Terry County Sheriff’s Office reports 52 offenses investigated in 2006 with 41 cleared. Property stolen valued at $481,477.50 and $44,551.75 recovered. Major offenses include thefts, burglary, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and criminal mischief. 280 arrests occurred with motives ranging from probation revocation to driving with an invalid license. Civil papers, subpoenas, and warrants served totaled 765, 749, and 362 respectively. The jail averaged 158 inmates daily, with most from Terry and neighboring counties, and income totaled $1,428,313.08. Expenses reached $553,601.90, including $350,276.91 for groceries. Meals served totaled 164,151 at $1.62 each.
