BRMC Board Accepts Insurance Proposal
After a two hour session on Monday the Terry Memorial Hospital Board accepted Jones & Lowe Insurance to carry major policies for 12 months starting Feb 1. Dr. Thomas Young, Houston consultant, evaluated five bids without naming companies. Jones & Lowe offered $25,783 total with an $11,041 bid line.

Housing Authority Organized New Stock Pens Approved
County commissioners approved a Terry County Show Barn stock pens project after presentations by Brownfield Jaycees and Terry County Young Farmers. Lions Gearing Up For Annual Talent Tourney

Brownfield Police Report A Week of Calls and Arrests
The Brownfield Police Department answered 123 calls and made 13 arrests from Tuesday to Friday. Ten arrests were for public intoxication, one for possession of a controlled substance, one for disorderly conduct, and one on a traffic warrant. A juvenile was arrested Monday afternoon at TG&Y for shoplifting a cassette tape. A $500 television was reported missing Friday from 702 S. D St. Doris Warren filed the theft report. A rehearsal for contestants is set for Feb 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Auditorium with admission $2 for adults and $1 for students. tickets available from club members or at the door.
