General Telephone Initiates Regional Economic Development Effort
James A. Covell of San Angelo outlined GenTel's new five state economic development program at a half day Western Division meeting. The plan aims to boost payrolls and jobs by assisting communities with local growth efforts and providing economic data to support new programs. Covell, a 1954 UW Seattle graduate, has been with GenTel since 1959 and now coordinates regional development activities. He is married with two children.

Teachers Break Arm at Colonial Heights Elementary

Graham Family Visits Mumford Graham in Phoenix Hospital
Mr and Mrs Sawyer Graham and Duane of 1314 East Tate and Mrs E A Graham of 1310 East Tate traveled to Phoenix Arizona last week to visit Mumford Graham who was in the hospital. Mumford, Sawyer's son, had been admitted but went home Saturday. He is an architectural engineer with offices in the Guarantee Bank Building. The 6'3" Meadow star Maurice Warren son of Carrie Mae Warren Route 1 Meadow and Marvin Warren Brownfield appears several feet taller due to lens opening on the newspaper engraving machine. A 1959 Meadow graduate he is a junior at Western State College Gunnison Colorado majoring in physical education.
