Inmate attempts hanging at Brownfield jail after arrest
Blake Decker and Danny Max Howard, 27, of Lubbock, was arrested for alleged assault and animal cruelty after stabbing a dog and damaging property in the 1400 block of East Cardwell around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday. He was found hanging in a jail cell between 11:30 and 11:45 p.m., rescued, treated at Brownfield Regional Medical Center and later released. Howard faces assault and family violence charges and an animal cruelty referral.
