Brownfield College Sets January Registration Schedule

The Brownfield Division of South Plains College will register from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday January 11 at Brownfield High School Room 21 West entrance. All courses are credit hours three semester hours each. Classes start Monday January 15. spring break is March 19 to 23 with final exams May 7 to 9. Three semester hours cost 69 dollars plus books and a 15 dollar lab fee for computer courses. ACC 232-30 Principles of Accounting II is the second half of the course.

Brownfield Chamber Banquet Promises Big Top Theme

The Brownfield Chamber sets its annual banquet for Saturday January 13 at 7 p.m. in Brownfield High School Commons with Kenneth Wyatt of Tulsa as speaker. The Outstanding Citizen of 1989 will be announced. Tickets from Chamber directors Red Coats Red Skirts and Chamber office. Mason-Warner audit report to be discussed at 7 p.m. Monday at Brownfield Regional Medical Center meeting room.

Brownfield Council discusses Treatment Center progress

Brownfield City Council hears progress on the Court Residential Treatment Center project. City manager Dick Fletcher says bids will be analyzed before the Jan 18 meeting and certificates of obligation should be ready to issue in two weeks. Ted Hardy says lease for the center is ready, plans for water and sewer bids to follow next month, and the probation department targets July 1 for construction and August 1 for first client. Additionally PSC and TDH discuss landfill height and water balance studies possibly delaying lining costs.

Commissioners Set Monday Agenda in Terry County Court
