Danny Gaasch son of Mr and Mrs M L Gaasch of 1201 Sons is spending the holiday here He is with the U S Army and has been stationed in Italy for the past year He arrives to visit family during a foreign posting break.
Mr and Mrs Melvin Moore along with Delynda Garry Dennis and Janet traveled to Albany to visit the Moore's mother in law Mrs Frank Dye martin at 503 East Lake during the Christmas holiday.
Rev and Mrs Leslie Welch visited her parents Mr and Mrs Dawson Nixon in Paducah over the holiday. Welch serves as pastor of the Challis Baptist Church.
Mrs Ronald Strader formerly Lynne Smith was honored with a bridesmaid luncheon on December 22 at the home of Mrs Phil Gaasch with Mrs Ray Orson assisting. Christmas decorations adorned the house as refreshments were served and a white gold lighted Christmas tree was given to Miss Smith.
Personal visiting at the home of Mr and Mrs Kelly Sears during the Christmas holidays brought together their sons and families. Ernest Sears and children from Snyder joined with Kelly Mack Sears and Plainview, Earl Sears and children from Newton Kansas, and Odell Sears with family from Brownfield.
Visitors during the Christmas holidays at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G M Bradley included their son and family Loran Bradley and Freddie of Hollis Oklahoma their daughter and family W T Briscoe and Sonia of Seminole another daughter and family Clarence Livasey Darlene and Judy 605 FE Sons and Mr and Mrs Garry Bradley of Route 2
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Henderson hosted the annual Christmas dinner on Christmas Day at their home. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Henderson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edwards of Balls, and many relatives from Albany Plainview Dumas Odessa Mule Shoe with several children in attendance.
A Paddack Route 3 home hosted a coffee in honor of Mrs. Strader on December 21. Co hostess was Mrs. Tim Faulkenberry. Guests included Mrs. Fred R. Smith, Mrs. Ray Orson of Lamesa, Mrs. Phil Gaasch, Mrs. Rick Smith of Canyon, Mrs. Tommy Hicks, and several accompanying guests.
A family reunion for the children grandchildren and great grandchildren of Mrs. Perry Irvin was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Irvin on December 24. Attendees included Royce Irvin Hazel Young Bobby Young Loyd Phillips Scott Odessa Wayman Wayne Gail Sandra and Linda Young of Brownfield.
The Gomez Home Demonstration Club celebrated its annual Christmas party at Mrs. Jacek Mason's home with Yule decorations. Guests included Mrs. Allen Harkins, Mrs. Denver Kelly, Mrs. R.D. Jones, Mrs. Homer Britton, Mrs. George Kempson, Mrs. A.V. Britton, Mrs. H.N. Key, Mrs. K. Sears, and Mrs. Imogene Key. The next meeting is January 9 at 3 p.m. in Mrs. Homer Britton's home.
Bride elect Karen Jan Beaty was honored at a December 21 tea at the home of Mrs. B. H. Rucker in Ropesville. Guests included Mrs. Lowell Beaty, Mrs. Weir Clem, Miss Ginger Clem, and Mrs. Raymond Whisenhunt. The couple will wed January 18.
Mrs Etta Wells of Kingfisher and Robert Wells of Oklahoma City visit in the Loftis home at 807 S Sons with Sp 4 Johnny Knox and his children Chris and Sean who are stationed with the U S Army. Mrs Johnny Knox and the children recently returned from Darmstadt Germany. Mrs Hazel Brock of 94 S Main visits sisters Mrs S M Smith and Mrs J R Simmons in Burkburnett during the holidays.
Mrs John Carouth of 903 S 19th hosted a family reunion at the Party House on December 2. Attendees included M N Barker Hobbs New Mexico Earl Carouth and Robert Brownfield Sam Carouth Loyd Irvin W J Patterson M Patterson Hobbs Jobe Midlane Barber Odessa Elwaynee Carouth Cynthia Brownfield Bill Lacy Brownfield W J Patterson Monroe Louisiana Perry Henderson Hobbs Everett Patterson Angela Hobbs Tonya Brower Brownfield and others.
Diane Gould daughter of Mr and Mrs Tommy Gould of Reppto 1418 EF has been appointed editor of the 1969 The Lasso yearbook at Howard Payne College Brownwood. She is a junior majoring in secondary education with a journalism minor and previously served two years on the Cubs Den staff at Brownfield High School.
