Judge Moore sentences five defendants in district court
In the 121st District Court on Monday Judge Moore handed five defendants varying terms. Omene Montano III received 10 years community supervision with confinement in a substance abuse facility and fees totaling 466.50 plus a 40 per month supervision fee and 160 hours of community service. Felipe Hernandez Sanchez received five years probation for felony driving while intoxicated with a 750 fine, 231.50 costs and 40 per month supervision, 10 days in jail with credit, 160 hours community service, license suspension for one year. Derek Foreman received five years deferred adjudication for unlawfully carrying a weapon in a prohibited place and remains in Lubbock County with 176.50 costs. Joe F. Wilson received five years community supervision for felony driving while intoxicated with a 750 fine, 353.64 restitution, 231.50 costs, 40 per month supervision, ignition interlock for 30 months and jail in Terry County beginning Jan 6 1997, license suspension for one year. Filemon Gonzales sentenced to six years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for burglary of a habitation with 176.50 costs and 250 attorney's fees.

Burglary Suspects Sought in Terry County Crimes
Terry County Crime Line offers 300 reward for information leading to arrest and indictment in two burglaries. One home four miles south of Gomez on Highway 380 was broken into December 19 between 6 PM and 8:30 PM. items stolen include clothing VCRs a television with radio a blanket coins and a Pomeranian. The second break in occurred December 21 at a residence four and a half miles north of Brownfield on FM 2066 with items stolen including clothing boots electric hair clippers a CB radio coins and three cases of Coes.
