Military Training Exercise Scheduled at Terry County Airfield
Reese Air Force Base announces the 64th Civil Engineering Squadron will conduct a field training exercise at Terry County Auxiliary Airfield starting 8:00 AM January 17 and ending about 2:00 AM January 18. Local Players Named To All South Plains Team
Two Brownfield High School football players Br ett Wilkes and Jack Walley were named to the 26 man class 4A All South Plains Football Squad for the 1980 season. Wilkes 6 1 180 lb senior earned a linebacker slot while also contributing as a running back Walley 5 11 230 lb senior filled a defensive lineman spot. Todd Granato received honorable mention. Estacado led with six selections and coach Louis Kelley was named South Plains AAAA Coach of the Year.
