Brownfield Band Defies Odds At UIL Solo and Ensemble
February 28 1990 Brownfield High School Spirit of the Plains band earned the most first divisions among Class 3A at District XVI UIL Solo and Ensemble at Texas Tech University. Brownfield placed second overall with 25 first divisions behind Plainview's 52. Nineteen soloists and 33 ensemble participants qualified for the state contest in Austin June 4.
