Fire destroys Texas Human Resources building in Brownfield
A Sunday morning blaze gutted the east end of the Texas State Department of Human Resources building at 101 N D Street in Brownfield. The fire began before 4:30 a.m. and firefighters remained on scene at noon to prevent rekindling. The incident caused about 250000 dollars in damage with records lost and heavy damage to Health and Mental Health offices. The state fire marshal and Brownfield Fire Department are investigating the cause.
