Kiwanis Club Holds Regular Meeting With Guests
The Brownfield Kiwanis Club met at noon Tuesday with president Tommy Johnson presiding. Guests included Bill Craig J T Churchwell J C Dorsett a past member re activated and new member Sidney Joe Hester. The club plans an inter club visit to Plainview Flyers Kiwanis Club Feb 19 to learn about sending boys to the Kiwanis Boys Camp at Mason. Mrs Helen Brown and Marion Snell from the National Foundation spoke on the March of Dimes operations and fund use.

Funeral services for Evelyn Collins 61 were held at First Presbyterian Church Lamesa with Rev. Walter Horn officiating. Burial followed at Lamesa Memorial Park. She died Monday evening after a long illness. Surviving husband Walter H. Collins one daughter Mrs Ken Kummer of Lubbock one brother Robert M. Perry of Mexico City and three grandchildren.

CAP Report On Regional Community Action Agency Feasibility
Texas Tech will present final CAP study on a 19 county South Plains regional agency serving low income residents. The meeting at 6 30 p m in the Student Union Building will include County Judge Bill McKinney and officials from Lubbock CAB. The $35628 study funded by a $31026 federal grant and $4602 local funds was directed by Dr Ted Taylor with other officials overseeing the project.
