Smith to retire after decades on Terry County commission
Smith reflects on 1969 to present service with four county judges and three precinct commissions. He cites rising county business, more courthouse hours, and highway funding as major changes, notes vandalism costs at stop signs and a lone crossing light, explains landfill closures, and shares retirement plans to fish and help his son-in-law on a Lake Brownwood trailer. He recalls WWII service and family roots in Terry County.
