Back in business After Iraq tour Ramon Holguin returns to J Bs Steak House
Ramon Holguin, manager of J Bs Steak House, returned from a 12 month National Guard deployment in Iraq. He served with a radio relay unit and quick reaction force, patrolling routes and coordinating with the Iraqi Highway Patrol. Holguin previously served in the Navy aboard the Kittyhawk and Constellation, and later joined the National Guard. He describes drive by shootings near their relay station, convoy escorts to Baghdad, and meeting appreciative Iraqis. He rejoined his Brownfield team December 13, retraining as his wife and staff supported him home. He credits his experience with a renewed appreciation for life in the U.S. and not taking things for granted.
