Five Defendants Sentenced in 121st District Court
Judge Kelly Moore presided in 121st District Court over five cases. Ken Burris, 30, received four years deferred adjudication for endangering a child plus a $1,000 fine and $338 in costs and restitution. David Leija, 27, got six years in TDCJ and six years supervision with a $500 fine, $248 costs, $250 attorney fees, plus anger counseling. Leila received five years deferred adjudication for hindering apprehension with a $500 fine and $248 costs plus $250 fees. Armandina Oropeza, 44, was given five years deferred adjudication for hindering apprehension with a $500 fine and $248 costs plus $250 fees. Terry Joe Emerson, 49, pled to a lesser offense for hindering secured creditor, with $248 costs, $2,263 restitution, and two days in Terry County Jail.
