Brownfield Council Approves paving bid and funds for economic group
Brownfield City Council accepted Jarnagin Construction Company of Lubbock's bid of 122877 for the Texas Community Development Program paving project on streets south and west of Sea graves Highway. The council also granted 1000 to start an economic development program, rejected a buyout offer for a Revco debt, and noted December sales tax up 2.92 percent to 24101.05. Mayor said city hall relocation depends on Savings and Loan decision. municipal court may move to recreation building if not.

The first town meeting drew over 100 attendees who discussed ideas, prioritized them, and planned future consideration.
