Spirit of the Plains earns 19 regional band honors
Brownfield High School Spirit of the Plains Band places 19 members in ATSSB All-Region Band after auditions in Floydada. Fifteen advance to All-Area, with six named first chair. Winners include Amanda Grimaldo, Michelle Mata, Roni Garcia, Leticia Morin, Connie Fowler, and Sean Decker.

Commissioners discuss County Airport terminal
The Terry County Commission approved bids for road improvement vehicles for Precincts 3 and 4 a used 1991 Caterpillar loader at 32700 and a Caterpillar motor grader at 38779 on a five year lease. They also authorized a walkie talkie for the County Attorney's Investigator from the Courtroom Security Fund and discussed bidding for an airport terminal funded by a state matching grant. The terminal would be a pre engineered ADA compliant metal building with a 26 gauge shell a four inch concrete slab and complete interior utilities.

Married to Eddie, they moved from Coahoma and spent 15 years in Midland before arriving in 1995. Nadine previously drove a bus for Coahoma and Midland, worked in a tax office and cafeteria, and heeds a mission to inspire youngsters as a positive influence, especially amid hard times like Christmas.

Habitat project completes first Habitat home at Jim Rudd Unit
