BRMC board approves new billing system for hospital
Brownfield Regional Medical Center board, in regular session Monday night, approved purchasing the Premis electronic billing system subject to contract approval by attorney and potential alternative. The system would detect and correct bill errors to speed error free submissions, with a $5,200 upfront cost plus installation and maintenance, and a $400 monthly claim fee. If bought before Dec 31 a price break applies. Also approved a $20,000 installation for a new valve system to prevent contaminated water entering the area water supply. Construction on the east hospital ER area is near completion by Feb 1.
