Chamber of Commerce names Don Ivie president and new directors
The Brownfield Chamber of Commerce named Don Ivie its 1985 president and Curtis Christopher as next year’s vice president. Incoming directors taking office in January include George Jameson Bruce Woods Fred Cawthon Howard Yandell Cecil Ferguson and Lynn Thames. Also reported were net proceeds of 1328 from a bi district playoff game between Littlefield and Post. Time is running out as the Goodfellows again operate in Brownfield to aid local youngsters families and elders. Donations of money old or new toys and time are welcome at the fire station and city hall. Dick Fletcher accepts gifts at 218 W. Main St for toy purchases and Christmas baskets including a hen bread green beans and fruit. TG Y’s Plaza Shopping Center will give cabbage patch dolls every Saturday until Christmas to those who register with SAW and bring a toy for the Goodfellows.
