Rites Held for John M Hare 56 in Lubbock
Last rites were conducted at Northside Baptist Church for John M Hare age 56. Rev Royce McGowan and Rev Wayne Sharp officiated with burial at Brownfield Cemetery by Brownfield Funeral Home. Hare died at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Methodist Hospital Lubbock after a lengthy illness. Born in Red River County.

Newsom Presides At DeMolay Meet In Wayland Parker Chapter
DeMolay chapter in Wayland Parker held a regular session with Master Councilor Darrell Newsom presiding. District Deputy from Big Spring announced a January 4 meeting in Midland or Odessa and urged Brownfield to attend. Officers were elected including Eddie Lampp as standard bearer and Todd Addison as marshal. Members discussed a Dallas Cowboys game trip and prepared initiatory degree assignments with Todd Addison advancing.
