Council Accepts Bids For Landfill Compactor And Containers
The council received a single bid for a landfill compactor from Warren Caterpillar of Lubbock at 171,943 with 125,000 in this year’s budget and the rest in 2004/2005 under a two year lease purchase. A lone bid for EMCO steel refuse containers from Precision Flame of Plainview totaled 26,100 or 261 per container, below the 30,000 budget. The mini pumper truck was approved via the Houston Galveston Area Council contract at 110,492 with 55,000 due this year.
