Christmas Around the Square Holiday Kickoff Details
Square festivities return this Friday and Saturday with events from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Santa visits, buggy rides, and photos with Santa are planned, plus a gift bazaar by the Brownfield Chamber. Sentences Handed Down by 121st District Court Judge
Judge Kelly Moore presided over plea bargains for 10 subjects in 121st District Court this week. Carlos Diaz Jr aged 21 received two 20 year terms for possession of a controlled substance with $248 costs on each and a $420 restitution. sentences run concurrently with another case. Christopher Martinez, 18, got eight years for burglary of a habitation with $248 costs and $250 attorney fees. term runs with another case. Rodolfo Alcorta Curiel aka Rudy Curiel, 35, was given six years for assault on a public servant with $248 costs and $300 attorney fees. Ruben E.
