Dolls for needy children in Brownfield inspired by Mrs Blackstock
Raised in Oklahoma as one of eight children, Mrs. Blackstock moved to Terry County in 1928. A quilter and painter active for 30 years, she makes dolls for the needy and her grandchildren, noting many local kids lack toys and that Brownfield and Terry County have been very good to her family. She values giving happiness to one child through a doll.
