Funeral services were held for Mrs. J D Faught 84 at Memorial Chapel Brownfield Funeral Home with Rev Cletus Caswell officiating. Burial followed in Brownfield Cemetery. A native of Alabama she lived in Brownfield from 1929 to January then moved to Rotan. She was a Methodist Church member. Severe burns afflicted Willard Tibbits manager of the Lahey Gin on the Seagraves Highway after a fire broke out in the press area. He and two helpers sustained injuries while Brownfield Fire Department battled the blaze. Tibbits treated in Brownfield then moved to St Marys Hospital Lubbock for care.
